Innocence ‘I’
Innocence -
Glistening,
Glowing,
Like drops of dew
On sun scorched pavements;
Or vanishing
Into oblivion
like dreams
On a dawn-pinked sky…..
But not before
Touching our hearts
With laughter and joy
‘Innocence’
Not an incandescent joy
but rare glimpses into a
land of light
and hope;
Innocence,
her ethereal muse,
her myriad hues
colouring
love, laughter, joy
beauty and pain
on clay, clime
cloth,
& the mundane;
transforming it
into timeslessness.
Even as the world advances
accusing
“Foolish, naïve……..”
sobriquets
to still
her playful game!
